Sunflower Hearts
Product Information
Sunflower hearts for birds are simply sunflower seeds with the outer husk removed. They are suitable for feeding a large number of different wild bird species such as finches, blackbirds, starlings, thrushes, siskins and even robins, and they are virtually mess-free. They can also be enjoyed by soft bill species.
The high fat and protein content, which includes vitamin E and trace elements of copper, manganese and selenium, are just what they need to see them through the winter months.
Please remember to include other seeds in your feed, or put out different seeds at different times otherwise birds may only eat the sunflower hearts and miss out on the benefits of a wide range of nutrient sources. Also, to prevent seeds making visiting birds unwell, it is best to only put out a day or two's worth of feed at a time and to wash your feeder regularly.
Each 500g of product comes in a clearly labelled Kraft resealable zipper pouch with a clear PET window and a standup gusset base. The seal creates barrier protection against moisture, odours and UV light. Useful information about the product contained in the pouch is labelled on the back.
